Comments:
Just added to a recent trailer hitch I put on PT Cruiser to carry a bike rack, it helps to stabilize quite well. As I had to use an extension in my 1.25 hitch up to 2 inch it made the connection long so it helps keep that extra length in control...
Comments:
Love the rack but don't over tighten the hitch bolt, otherwise the plastic carriage insert that holds the threaded nut will break forcing you to buy a new insert.
Comments:
exactly what we needed-arrived on time, needed replacement for part we lost
Comments:
I have had my hitch mount bike rack for about 9 years. When I stripped the threads on the hitch I figured I was in trouble but had built the rack to enable inexpensive repair. Great design.
Comments:
I misplaced the multi hitch components for my rack. I was impressed with the high quality of the replacement parts
Comments:
This part is easy to replace. It is light weight .
Comments:
I have a 3-bike Saris rack and had it about 6 months when one day the bolt would not come out of the hitch allowing me to remove the rack from my receiver hitch. I ended up having to hacksaw off both ends of the bolt and with a lot of work got the bolt out. What had happened is that the plastic piece on the hitch tite had broken off and the nut was just turning freely inside not allowing me to remove the bolt. This replacement product now uses a square (versus hex) nut that fits tightly inside the space on the hitch hence it should not end up turning if it gets worn a bit or the plastic holder gives way. Better design overall. Hopefully this one will hold up to the constant on/off that this rack experiences.
Comments:
I ordered this item for a several year old hitch mounted bike rack. Easy installation and works very well. Secure connection between hitch and rack
Comments:
Square nut is a design improvement over my original hex nut. The product picture showed a hex nut when I order but I am glad they shipped the square nut. It is a better design fit for this application. Good Job!!!
